AEVEX Unveils Modular & Jet-Powered Autonomous Attack Platform
AEVEX Corp. is developing a new unmanned aircraft called Specter. It is powered by a jet engine and can fly at high speeds. It is designed to fly on its own and carry out one-way missions in difficult and dangerous areas.

Specter has a special design that allows different parts and equipment to be changed easily. It can be launched from the ground or from another aircraft, making it useful for different types of missions.
One of its most important features is its removable nose section. This part can be changed to carry different types of equipment, such as cameras, electronic systems, and intelligence-gathering tools. This means engineers can add new technology without having to build a completely new aircraft.
“Specter reflects our lessons learned on capability from delivering thousands of autonomous systems in theater,” said Manan Patel, Chief Technology Officer at AEVEX. “We are not optimizing for a fixed requirement, we are building an architecture that adapts. Specter is designed to evolve with mission demands, payload technologies, and manufacturing advances over time.”
AEVEX has experience in building and operating thousands of unmanned systems. The company is using what it has learned from these projects to make Specter smarter and more capable. It is also using its CompassX technology to help the aircraft operate autonomously.
To build Specter more quickly and efficiently, AEVEX is working with a company called Divergent Technologies. Divergent uses a modern manufacturing system called DAPS, which helps engineers design, test, and improve parts more quickly.
In simple words: Specter is a fast, jet-powered aircraft that can fly autonomously, carry different types of equipment, and be built and improved using modern technology.
