This manual is mainly written for the pilot who works in a professional capacity. It is aimed specifically at the charter company pilot. Smaller companies tend to require staff who are versatile and a pilot could frequently find himself dealing with customers and making decisions on the company’s behalf. He may also be expected to be a combination of handling agent, freight agent, manager and salesman – would he be up to his task? The book aims to instruct the newly qualified pilot – and even senior pilot – on a broad range of subjects, from flight planning and general aircraft operations to UK and International Air Law and setting up a company.
