Description
Aircraft Structural Technician
This textbook is obviously for training purposes. All information on repairing any aircraft structure can only come from the aircraft manufacturer. They are always the first and last word on the materials and processes. Many times a manufacturers repair instruction will even include the tools to be used for fabrication. It is our hope that we have helped you learn how to use them.
Everything you need to know about metal air frame structures- their repair and their construction. Each category of information, (including the materials, proper working techniques, tools, the hardware fasteners, plans reading and corrosion control) is covered in detail including the various procedures plus when, where and how to use them.
The emphasis is on the practical, not the theoretical. In other words “here are all the types of rivet sets available, here is what each is best for, and here is the best way to use them”.
The book was written as an A&P college textbook for an in-depth course on metal airframe structures, but is well suited and highly recommended for builders of metal kit planes such as the Van’s RV series. It is the best book we have found for a new builders reference.
