Aero thermodynamics of Aircraft Engine Components edited by Gordon C. Oates, is the third volume in the newly established Education Series of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). It complements an earlier volume on the Aerothermodynamics of Gas Turbine and Rocket Propulsion by Gordon C. Oates, and it will be followed by a volume on the Aircraft Propulsion System Technology and Design. These three texts will represent a comprehensive description of aircraft gas turbine theory and technology. They will provide an understanding of the principles of design of modern aircraft engines and stimulate interest in one of the most important discipline in aerospace industry.
